Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

As part of our spring topic on 'chocolate', some children had a great time, supported by their parents/carers, completing an independent homework task to do with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.   Here are some of the examples of their work.  It was really great to see their creativity and problem solving skills in action!!  Enjoy!

This model of an icecream factory was accompanied by a book of icecream puzzles, wordsearches and other fun activities.

This model of Charlie, Grandpa and Wonka in a hot air balloon gave inspiration for a story that accompanied the model.  Read it here (coming soon!)

Some children made information booklets about all things chocolatey!! MMMmmm.....

A couple of examples of home-made recipe books with some classics as well as made up recipes!

Other children created wonka products and wrote persuasive leaflets to sell them.

Oompa, Loompas and the goose that laid a golden egg in the shared area!!!

Well done to all the children who took part!

Thank you to all the parents/carers who
invested time, effort and resources into the experience.
We think you'll agree it was worth it!

After the success of the 'chocolate' projects, we asked children to put their new skills to designing a new product using 'Upcycling'.
