Upcycling

During the Easter holidays, Phase 3 were set the challenge to design a product using UPCYCLING.

UPCYCLING means making new things from old products and packaging, into something useful and perhaps better than before. Here are some of our ideas.  Thankyou again to all of you who took part.  There were some really creative and inspiring outcomes!

Children in phase 1 are working on a "robot" topic, so a lot of their brothers and sisters in phase 3 made some outstanding robot toys!

Other children made games and toys.

A laptop computer!

Ornaments.

A jewellery box.

A lot of children made models of 'green' ways to make renewable energy.  Here are some windmill models.

A mini puppet theatre - hours of fun!

A table football game.

One girl in class 9 had the idea to use recycling materials to make a 'blue bottle-top collector' for charity.  It is outside class 9, if you have any blue milk bottle tops to donate in aid of disability charities.  Ingenius!

Another child made a working clock out of recycling materials, which is now being used in the school library.  Another extremely useful idea!

Well done to all the children who took part!
