Welcome to Phase 3 (Years 3 and 4)
The Phase 3 classes and teachers are:
Class 6 - Miss Hollingsworth
Class 7 - Miss Williams
Class 8 - Mrs Patel (Phase leader)
Class 9 - Miss Smith
Class 10 - Mr Ring
Start and End of the School Day
The school day starts at 8:40. At this time the Phase 3 class teachers will open the doors and children can begin to make their way in to class.
At the end of the school day the children in Phase 3 leave the building by their nearest exit. Children in Phase 3 are permitted to walk home by themselves and class teachers are not required to release the children to an adult.
Target Grouping
In Phase 3 we do not have target groups. The children have all lessons in their mixed ability class. Within the class, children are grouped according to ability and learning is tailored to match their individual needs.
P.E.
The children in Phase 3 will need to have their P.E kit for their lesson with the sports development team on the following days:
Class 6 - Fridays
Class 7 - Fridays
Class 8 - Tuesdays
Class 9 – Tuesdays
Class 10 – Wednesdays
Reading
Each child in Phase 3 has been provided with a book bag, a book from school and a reading diary. All three items need to be in school every day. The reading diaries are checked on a regular basis and the children need to show evidence of having read at home on at least two occasions since the last time that the diary was checked.
