'Twenty years from now you'll be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the things you did.  So throw off the bowlines.  Sail away from the safe harbour.  Catch the trade winds in your sails.  Explore.  Dream.  Discover.'

Mark Twain

ACADEMY STATUS CONSULTATION

The Full Governing Body met in the Autumn term to discuss if moving to Academy status would be in the best interests of Ambleside Primary School.  The Governing Body believes that becoming an academy may be in the best interests of the school.

They wish to ensure that all stakeholders are consulted as part of this journey. To inform you, this document sets out the information and background for you to consider.

The closing date for consultation is Wednesday 23rd February 2012.  At the end of the document there is a consultation response form.  We would grealtly appreciate it if you could complete this and return it the school office by the 23rd February 2012.  Alternatively you can complete the form online by clicking HERE.

The governing body will not make any final decision until it has had the opportunity to consult with all stakeholders.  The final decision will be made at a Full Governing Body meeting convened for 29th February 2012.
